About sixty five years of professional experience in diverse fields. Served for forty years in the Punjab Irrigation Department from the post of Sub-divisional Officer to Chief Engineer covering the broad spectrum of all the diverse fields of equitable distribution of supplies in the canal system as well as to the individual cultivators and their dispute resolution, construction, maintenance/operation of canal systems, drains, and major barrages. Managerial/Administrative experience in various senior positions. Specialized experience of Hydraulic Model Studies of major and minor Hydraulic Structures of dams, barrages and running canals systems. Worked extensively on high level committees for identifying institutional issues of the department and suggesting remedial measures and proposing reorganization of the departmental structure. Also worked for a number of years on the Indo-Pak water dispute. For over twenty years in the consultancy field worked in senior positions (Project Manager, Director etc.) in a numerous of World Bank and Govt. of the Punjab financed studies in the water sector, as described under “Relevant Company Experience”.
